Vivi Zubedi for NYFW 2018

Super excited to welcome another brilliant Indonesian Fashion Designer to New York City, especially to NYFW 2018!

This time we have Vivi Zubedi, a famous hijab designer from Indonesia, joining those emerging designers for one of the world’s most-wanted-and-sought fashion show. Proudly presenting Urang Banua, Vivi is back with strong message: Women Empowerment! As Vivi traveled to the remote area in South Kalimantan, she met many strong, inspiring women producing the hand-woven Sasirangan and Tenun Pagatan, which became the main fabrics used in Vivi’s collections for NYFW 2018.

Happy 11th, Bo!

Wishing you nothing but the best for the coming future, Abang Booooo!

11 years old already! How time flew! And I remember vividly when we were so rejoiced in welcoming me you to this world! My tiny baby, born in Melbourne while we were studying, is now one big, healthy 6th grade boy who enjoys school and makes the most of it!

Blessed you always, honey! May Allah always shower you with His love, blessings, and protections!

Cheers from 2017 TCS NYC Marathon

Cheeeeers :p

Volunteering Time! at 2017 TCS NYC Marathon!

Yuuup..the famous Marathon in town!

I have never dreamed of running any race or tournament, let alone joining marathon. I guess I am going to need 10 years or more for practices before joining one hehehe. But since last year, I tried 5K and joined the UN Run or Abbott Dash to the Finish Line. I have to admit I enjoyed it! I never thought I have enough courage (and extra energy) to do so.

And this year, I also managed to volunteer at Marshall Zone 3 at the Finish Line for 2017 TCS NYC Marathon! It was truly an experience of a life time and there I was with Erma et Angie who also joined the volunteer.

Welcoming winter :)

Haiii haiii…Happy New Year, everyone 🙂

It’s the first working day of 2016 and boy, I’m so excited 🙂

This morning, everything looks bright. Super sunny yaaaa kelihatan..

But don’t get fooled.
Yet it’s -3 C 😇😇
The whole week is gonna be freezing 🙂🙂🙂

Winter is surely here, I guess..
Better get ready…I just can’t wait to use all those colorful scarves, beanies and gloves to keep me warm. Let alone those tick socks and knee-up boots for my daily commuting. And..more session in the kitchen as well I suppose, as we will crave for more and more comfort food :).

Happy winter, y’all 😇😘😇😘

Stay warm, happy and healthy :)- with Rudi, Bo, and Obi at Queensboro Bridge Pedestrian & Bike Path

The lovely peacock

He’s a beauty indeed ..

Still enjoying Bronx Zoo and as we explored this hugeeee zoo, we also have peacocks here and there :).
And they are freely roaming around the zoo 😇😇
so you can simply see them the parking lot, by the ponds, near the benches and on the pathway  😘

It’s a pretty sight indeed 🙂

The Bird feeder :)

Soooo.. This is what Bo and his friends made at school this morning..

Still on the #openschoolweek 🙂

Bird feeder 🕊🕊🕊🕊
The American natives way 😘😇😍

They learnt about it in social studies and they made it from scratch..

Cheerios (crushed into crumbs), maple/pancake syrup, pine cone and small rope.

Tight the rope at the bottom of the pine cone.
Mix the crumbs and syrup then spread it all over the pine cone :).
And voilaaa… The bird feeder is ready..

We only need to hang them on the trees outside now 😘😇😍

Come, birdie, birdie..
